DG ISPR: Pakistan Balances Relations with US, China While Exposing Indian Terror Role | SLY News
Islamabad, September 19, 2025 — Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has reaffirmed Pakistan’s balanced foreign policy, stating that “there is no either-or in our relations with other countries.” In an interview with a German media outlet, the DG ISPR said Pakistan values its longstanding ties with the United States while maintaining strategic relations with China and other partners. He praised Washington’s role in mediating the May ceasefire with India and emphasized the scope for US-Pakistan collaboration on counterterrorism. Highlighting regional threats, Lt Gen Chaudhry accused India of state-sponsored terrorism in Pakistan, alleging that groups like the TTP and BLA are being supported through bases in Afghanistan. He added that “every terrorist attack in Pakistan has Indian abetment behind it.” He also referred to US-made weapons left behind in Afghanistan, later recovered from militants in Pakistan, stressing the need for global cooperation to curb terrorism. On Balochistan, the DG ISPR rejected claims of insurgency, saying many so-called missing persons were in fact linked to terrorist outfits. He reiterated Pakistan’s call for international intervention in resolving the Kashmir dispute, warning that India’s extremist policies continue to destabilize the region.
