Field Marshal Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff, has warned India of a strong and decisive response to any aggression. Addressing the passing-out parade at the Pakistan Military Academy, Kakul, he said Pakistan’s response would surpass the expectations of those initiating hostilities. He highlighted Pakistan’s advanced weapon systems, emphasizing that India’s geographic vastness offers no immunity against Pakistan’s deterrent capabilities. He cautioned that there is no space for war in a nuclearized region and urged India to resolve core disputes, including Kashmir, through dialogue based on equality and mutual respect. Field Marshal Munir reaffirmed that Pakistan’s defense doctrine is built on credible deterrence, perpetual readiness, and national unity. Referring to the recent Marka-e-Haq operation, he praised the armed forces’ professionalism and the people’s unwavering support, saying their combined resolve has strengthened national confidence. He also called on Afghanistan’s Taliban government to curb militants using its soil against Pakistan. On foreign relations, he lauded Pakistan’s growing strategic ties with Saudi Arabia, China, and the USA, appreciating President Donald Trump’s peace efforts. Reaffirming Pakistan’s principled stance on Kashmir and support for Gaza’s peace, he said Pakistan continues to regain global respect and economic stability.
